Basic ingredients for a daily healthy nutrition

In most of my recipees you will find some basic ingredients that shouldn’t be missing in any kitchen.
I always have them at home as they don’t get bad and they help you out in case you couldn’t do your groceries.
Further, they are the necessary base for a balanced plant-based nutrition.


  • Rice (normal white rice, natural rice and basmati/yasime rice)
  • Spelt
  • Bulgur
  • Couscous


  • Lenses (red, green)
  • Chickpeas (in can)
  • Peas (dry)

Seeds & Nuts:

  • Sesame
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Pumpkin seeds
  • Cashew nuts
  • Walnuts
  • Coconut rasps

Next to grains, pulses, nuts and seeds I also always have following oils and sauces at home:

  • Extra virgine olive oil
  • Coconut fat/oil
  • Sunflower oil
  • Chinese soy sauce (don’t mix up with Japanese or Indonesian soy sauce)
