In most of my recipees you will find some basic ingredients that shouldn’t be missing in any kitchen.
I always have them at home as they don’t get bad and they help you out in case you couldn’t do your groceries.
Further, they are the necessary base for a balanced plant-based nutrition.
Grains:
- Rice (normal white rice, natural rice and basmati/yasime rice)
- Spelt
- Bulgur
- Couscous
Pulses:
- Lenses (red, green)
- Chickpeas (in can)
- Peas (dry)
Seeds & Nuts:
- Sesame
- Sunflower seeds
- Pumpkin seeds
- Cashew nuts
- Walnuts
- Coconut rasps
Next to grains, pulses, nuts and seeds I also always have following oils and sauces at home:
- Extra virgine olive oil
- Coconut fat/oil
- Sunflower oil
- Chinese soy sauce (don’t mix up with Japanese or Indonesian soy sauce)
